Medical Education

Mr Khalid Drabu has been a Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery since 1988.

He studied medicine at St George’s Hospital when it was located at Hyde Park Corner, London.

Prior to taking up his Consultant appointment, he trained as a Registrar in Worthing and in London and ultimately as a Senior Registrar at The Centre for Joint Replacement Surgery at Wrightington Lancashire.

Orthopaedic Research Unit

Recognising the contribution he has made to surgical skills and teaching, Mr Drabu has in the past received Research Fellows from different parts of the world who have been trained in the skills of lower limb reconstruction surgery.

All the joint replacement surgery performed by Mr Drabu, (both Private and NHS patients) are entered on to an established database at The Orthopaedic Research Unit, East Surrey Hospital and are independently validated.
